Papyrus AI Writing

Today we used Papyrus AI to help us write a narrative. Papyrus AI is a generative AI which predicts words and patterns. It uses a LLM which is short for Large Language Model. Papyrus AI helped us combine the stories of Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood. I liked using Papyrus AI because it gave me feedback about what I needed to work on straight away.

A Journey of Friendship: Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time, there were two girls who went to the same school and were best friends. Their names were Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White. Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood looked at the school and saw it looked very gloomy yet full of bright colours. They began exploring around the school, touching the beautiful art. After they touched the beautiful art, they said amongst themselves, “This beautiful art feels amazing.”

One day, Snow White visited Little Red Riding Hood, who was told that unfortunately, her grandma was sick. Little Red Riding Hood and her best friend, Snow White, were asked to deliver some freshly baked muffins to her grandma. As they were walking, they were approached by a wolf, who asked, “Where are you heading to?”

Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood felt scared and terrified when they saw the big wolf as they were heading to Little Red Riding Hood’s grandma’s house. As they walked, they heard mumbling in the bushes but thought nothing of it. Upon arriving at grandma’s house, they entered with excitement. However, they soon noticed something different about her. Little Red Riding Hood asked, “Grandma, your ears look so big,” to which grandma replied, “Yes, to hear you more clearly.” Snow White then asked, “Why are your eyes so big?” Grandma responded, “So I can see you more clearly.” As they got closer, they both asked, “Why is your mouth so big?” Grandma replied, “SO I CAN EAT YOU!” Terrified, they immediately ran out, screaming, and bumped into a woodcutter. The woodcutter instantly helped the girls by grabbing the wolf by its leg, turning the wolf upside down, and giving it a good shake. Amazingly, their real grandma came flying out of the wolf’s mouth.

Then, the wolf was chased all around the woods by grandma, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, and the woodcutter, and was never found ever again. Then, they lived happily ever after. The end.

LI: To explore sentence structure.

For this task we learnt about a Compound Sentence and a simple sentence. All sentences begin with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. A simple sentence has a noun and a verb. A noun is a name of something you can physically touch and a verb is a action you can physically touch. A compound sentence uses two sentences combained for example ” I went to the shop and brought a drink ” The conjunction word here is “and “. Here are some examples for a conjunction words ” For, And, Nor, But,Or,Yet, So”.

I found this task interesting because I got to learn what is in a Compound sentence and a simple sentence.

Two words Two minutes

Today we used the ‘2 words 2 minute’ challenge to write a description about the ancient olympics. After talking in pairs about the things we already knew about the ancient  olympics. that would help us write our description. We chose the words ‘Greece’ and ‘athletes’ to help us think about what we were going to write. We talked about ideas with a partner, then we had 2 minutes to put those ideas into sentences.  After the time was up we had 2 minutes to reread what we had written and make changes if anything didn’t make sense or if we had words and punctuation in the wrong place. When we finished checking we had 2 more minutes to carry on writing our descriptions.

I found this activity interesting because it was challenging me in writting as fast as I could.
