Heart rate experiment

For this activity, we had to try and find our pulse around our wrists and neck. Pulses are the amount of time the heart beats in one minute. We experimented by jogging on a spot outside and then counting the beats for 20 seconds. We then found out our average/mean, for our heart rates. We compared our scores with the jogging experiment, and our normal heart rates. Something I noticed that my heart rate was higher when I jogged than when I was just sitting down. I got a resting pulse of 80, when I wasn’t doing anything, but when I was jogging, I got a resting pulse of 92.

I enjoyed doing this because I found out where I could find my pulse.

Netball – Interschool

Our school competed in the Netball interschool and played 5 games in the tournament. Our first game was against Stonefields which we won 13 -1. Our second game was against Tamaiki Primary which was lost 8-7. Our third was against Panama Road which we won 17-1. Our fourth game was against Glen Taylor which was lost 19-8. Our last and final game was against Glen Brae which we lost 18-2.

Netball Competition

We have netball sessions every Tuesday and we play against different schools every week. The last school we vs was Michael park school and unfortunately we lost. I enjoyed playing Netball with my classmates because we get to spend time together after school. PBS yr7 and 8 competed in the after school netball and placed 5th. This term we are going to celebrate us playing in the after school netball. By doing that we are going to be making a candy salad. I found this activity intresting because we always get to spend more time with each others after school.
