Moment in time ‘ Polar Bear ‘

LI: To write a poem that discribes a moment in time.

for this activity  Me and my group had to write a poem about a polar bear,We watched a video about the polar bear. Also I learnt that Less than 2% of polar bear hunts are successful. Making this DLO we had to think and discuss what we heard, saw, felt, and wonder. We also added photo and attributed it, we collected some ideas from each other, and made this.

I found this activity, Interesting because I shared ideas with others, and learnt the about the Momment in time.

Care Values

LI : To understand what our CARE Values mean to us.

For this task me and my partner had to take a picture of us doing some care values, we went around the class trying to think of what values to do. The care vaules were Confidents, Attiude, Respect, and Excellence. Soon as we completed the pictures and the values, We created this DLO to represent the CARE, we explained the values behind these cares and learn it.

I found this activity Helpful, Because I learnt Many of the care Values, and mean to respect them.

Treaty of waitangi

LI : To understand the treaty of waitangi

For this activity Me and my Group had to research about the treaty of waitangi, We discussed and learnt about Maori history.  We made a presentation and explain about what had happened in 1840, and how they fighted for us to keep our country. We learnt many stories of the Maori, and the Treaty of Waitangi.

I found this actitvity interesting, Because we got to learn about the treaty of waitangi and the Maori History.

 

Taniwha Name’s

LI: Understand how culture connects with your name

For this task, I did  My Taniwha Name, we had to be creative and add our names blending it in with the Taniwha. we had to think of ideas for our Taniwha and think of  a colour .The colour I choose was  green because that’s the colour of a real Taniwha and its my favourite colour. We also added some patterns and designs.

Leaders we admire

For this task, me and my group researched about famous leaders we admire. I found it really interesting because we had to reseach  and learn about our leaders we admire. The people i reseached about is Malietoa Laupepa and his Rarotogan  wife Faasisila.

Chinese Lantern Festival

Chinese Lantern Festival is an important holiday to the chinesse community. Me and my group chosse question for each person and reashed for each person  and added decor and designs. did you know the colour yellow represents good luck and red represents wealth and success and  Yellow represents Good luck, White symbolizes grief, and green represents health. 

Vision Board for 2024

LI: To  visulise  your goals

For this Task, i chosse Fatu Akelei Feu’u  as my leader beacause  when I grow up I want to be an artist just like Fatu Akelei Feu’u . I  added my goals and the college I want to go to onto vision board . I liked reeseaching about my leader to learn more about him. The college I added to my vision  board is Tamaki college and I also added my panmure bridge logo.
