For this Summer Learning Journey Activity, I was challenged to create a seashell my own seashell mueseum using google slides. I had to make sure I included an image, its location, a fun fact, and a map if I could.I chose to do the Large Ostrich foot , Struthiolaria and papulosa, . First, I went online to get images from online and placed them onto the Google slides. I added the name of the shell and the other names such as its name in Maori, and its scientific name. Then, I wrote down a fun fact for each of the shells and where it can be found. I had to find its location, Lastly, I chose colours that would make the shell stand out more and now my shell is finally completed.

I found this Summer Learning Journey activity fun because I had to research facts and where you could find this shell.

  1. Kia Ora Mareta,

This is Zana from the Summer Learning Journey. Great to see another awesome post from you.

I really enjoyed the kick start art activity but this step up is such a great educational opportunity to explore a less exciting area of ocean life. I love the ocean and collected shells growing up so it is fun to see some of them and learn further information.

You did an amazing job with the structure of your slides, your information is very clear and layed out in an engaging and easy to read manner. I think you did a great job sharing your information about your shell, is that the same as a conch shell?

I hope to see more of your posts over the summer!

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates

  2. Kia Ora Zana !

Thank you for commenting on my Summer Learning Journey Activity blog post, I love hear what you love doing growing up. To answer your question, After alot of researching I could not find any information about the Large Ostrich foot being the same as a conch shell, Me personally I think they look the same.

    Kind Regards Mareta.
