`For this Summer Learning Journey Activity, I was challenged to do a hunt based of big shapes and patterns. I had to find shapes and patterns around me, For example: my task was to find a star shaped item or object, I found a Star shaped cookie cutter. Then you would have to take a photo of it then write why you choose it and what it is. If I couldn’t find any resources of that shape or pattern I would just find a image on Google and use it as my pattern or object.

I found this SLJ activity fun because I got to go on a hunt around my house hunting for objects or pattern.

For this SLJ activity, I was challenged to design my own waka, and label parts of my Waka. But before I start designing, I have to know what parts are what, and a few things about wakas. Thankfully, there were videos linked to the activity, so I watched those. Then, I went onto Google to take inspiration. I found a few I liked and based my Waka on them. I make sure to label the parts, and added a background to make it POP!

I enjoyed this Summer Learning Journey activity because I got create and learn how to create my own Waka with labels of the names of the parts of the Waka.

For this Summer Learning Journey Activity I was challenged to create a poster based on these links that  shared information about pekapeka.I learnt from the links provided about the Pekapeka. I chose to include what I found the most interesting fact. I chose to do why its special, where it lives, why it’s close to extinction, and facts. I made sure to add a map of where it can be found.

I enjoyed this SLJ Activity because I got to disscover facts about Ruapekapeka and why it is so special.

For this Summer Learnign Jorney Activity I was challenged to create a Zentagle Art, I had 3 options, a scallop, a breach, or an ammon. I chose to draw a scallop since to me, it stood out compared to the other seashells. I made a blending stump using the link provided, a pencil, and paper. I followed the video on how to make my scallop and started shading. My favourite part was adding the curves onto the shell. Lastly, I signed it to show that I made it and now my scallop is complete.

I Enjoyed this Summer Learning Jorney Activity because I got to draw and learn about Zentagle Art.

For this SLJ Activity I was challenged to create Origami Creatures, I had to create 3 diffrent Origami  creatures or it could be the same creature but diffrent designs. First thing I had to do choose my Origami creatures I was gonna create which were A Turtle, Dolphin and lastly a fish then, I gather all the materials I needed to create these Origami creatures, First thing I needed was a (15cm x 15cm) paper then I grabbed a pair of scissors, black coloring pencil and a vivid, I watched videos that explained and showed me how to create my Origami creatures.

I Enjoyed this Summer Learning Journey Activity because I watched videos showing and explaining to me how to fold and Frame these Origami Creatures Step by Step.

For this Summer Learning Journey activity, we were challenged to create an ocean-themed word art. But before that, we had to complete the word wheel. For the word wheel, we had to list as many words as we could on the themes such as Birds, Objects, and Marine Life. Once I completed the word wheel, I moved onto creating my word art. I decided to create an oval type of shape for my words art and chose different shades of blue for it represents the ocean.

I enjoyed this Summer Learning Journey Activity enjoyable because I got to create my own word art based on the ocean theme.

For this Summer Learning Journey Activity, I was challenged to write a message in a bottle. But before I began I had to do some researching about what I need to write as a message in a bottle. I watched videos and reasearched about messages in a bottle. Then I decided that I was stranded on an island and I need help. So I write a message and put it in a bottle. On the message, I made sure to write my coordinates to make it easier for people to find me and my name on the bottle. For it I don’t survive, my bottle will be put in a museum for people to see the ‘ancient’ artifact. Then, I would throw the bottle in the ocean and wait until I get help.

I Enjoyed this Summer Learning Journey Activity intresting because I had to write a message in a bottle for anyone to read, And I had alot of fun resaerching and watching videos about a message in a bottle.

For this Summer Learning Journey Activity, I was challenged to create a seashell my own seashell mueseum using google slides. I had to make sure I included an image, its location, a fun fact, and a map if I could.I chose to do the Large Ostrich foot , Struthiolaria and papulosa, . First, I went online to get images from online and placed them onto the Google slides. I added the name of the shell and the other names such as its name in Maori, and its scientific name. Then, I wrote down a fun fact for each of the shells and where it can be found. I had to find its location, Lastly, I chose colours that would make the shell stand out more and now my shell is finally completed.

I found this Summer Learning Journey activity fun because I had to research facts and where you could find this shell.

For this Summer Learning Journey Task, I was challenged to create a piece of art using Sea Shells. I had a choice to create a shell ebration digitally or with actual shells. I choose to create mine digitally because I do not have any shells at my house. First I watched some videos for inspiration then I decieded to create waves made out of shells. Then I did 2025 because it is the begging of  2025. The lastly I decided to do a blue backdrop to add a ocean then in the background. Now my art is finally completed !.

I found this Summer Learning Joureny fun because I got to watch and create my own art made out of shells. Another thing I enjoyed about this activity is that we had choices on whether we wanted to do it digitally or handmade.
